My name is Marty, the lyricist, song composer and owner of the Lyric Magician. I grew up in Southern California and music has been an integral part of my life since starting piano lessons at age five.  Along with composing new lyrics to copyright-free songs, I also enjoy writing and recording original music in styles such as blues, classical, country, rock, classic rock, jazz, and pop. 


My passion includes composing emotional, humorous, or serious lyrics that evoke the essence of the person or thing being honored.  Members of my family are also composers, play multiple instruments, and have performed publicly.  My other talents include voice-over narration and using character voices for radio commercials, cartoons and songs.  I live in Los Angeles, California, with my wife Lori.
